Located beside the historic Rivanna River, our building stands on land once owned by Jonathan Clark, William Clark's grandfather. We offer rotating exhibitions as well as a permanent exhibition that includes 18th and 19th Century items, some donated by the Lewis family. Our collection includes early 20th Century and contemporary Native American art, bronze statuary, and replicas and commemorations related to the Expedition, such as the full-sized Keelboat and the Red and White Pirogues.
Activities for all ages include art, carpentry, model boat building, nature journaling, beading, birding, map-making, compass navigation, and more. Enjoy our makerspace, our library, and our story and play area for younger visitors.
General Admission: $7. Last tickets sold an hour before closing. Children two-years-old and under are free. There is ample parking. Rental space is available.
