This November, Virginia is celebrating its rich Customs, Cultures & Cuisines with special food and heritage festivals all across the state. Learn about the convergence of three cultures – Native American, Africans, and English setters – and their infinite contributions to Virginia’s culture today.

    Pocahontas Reframed Storytellers Film Festival | November 21-24 | Byrd Theater
    The Pocahontas Reframed: Storytellers Film Festival includes Native American-affiliated classic and recently released films. The Festival honors the contributions of Native Americans and reinvigorates conversations about telling stories of indigenous life.

November is also Oyster Month in Virginia, celebrate with a trip to one of the Commonwealth’s eight distinct oyster regions. And if you are already looking forward to Thanksgiving, we have plenty of harvest festivals, wine events, and regional food celebrations to tide you over until Turkey Day.
